John Muir, the naturalist who convinced Teddy Roosevelt to set aside large parts of North American nature into public trusts once said "If you pick up one thing in the universe, you'll find it's darn near hitched to everthing else. This universal connectivity which permeates all matter (and that includes you and me) is the glue that binds us together while the human mind seeks to tear us apart.
